Imperfection is beautiful

hello! so since i was like "i'm going to write a blog" i have been so rubbish, truth is i have attempted it loads of times but i was just trying to be funny or be perfect but you know what it is never going to be either of these things so i'm going to get on with it.

so.....what's new.....i have a tendency to be taken by one thing and research it all the time and talk about it even more...past things include Wild Beasts and the XX and well the Mulberry Party Sept 2009 (i still slip stories in to conversations all the time.) right now it is worried about the boy (a drama about Boy George) i got so sucked in...i never wanted it to end like never. loved loved loved the clothes and make-up and just how it was presented it totally converted me, in the
past i was like "the 80's were like so bad" i think this was heavily influenced by my mum who is very opinionated and is a 60's child and she always says "the 80's were awful for music, like the worst era" but anyway now i'm a lover..it is no 60's but definitely a few songs have made it on to my party play list and i have started to wear a desperately seeking susan esk look (although i have never at any point found THAT woman as a style icon) it has just happened. finally the guy that played George was BEAUTIFUL...a far cry from the man himself. did my research his name is Douglas Booth and he is a Burberry boy (wonder if he was at the Mulberry Party)

music wise i am still totally digging the XX...i just love the album so much....it is just so refreshing to hear a guy and girl singing together and it not being all acoustic guitars and folk, don't get me wrong i love that vibe but this just does it for me so much more...aware that it makes me sound like a gay it just totally speaks to me. in addition i have been getting into leeds based bands (i used to live there, try to visit a lot and it has a super special place in my heart)....mainly WILD BEASTS (love love love their last album) also been listening to Sky Larkin, Dinosaur Pile-Up and Grammatics. finally my personal favourite's my good friends Sketches...www.myspace.com/sketchesband.

in my personal life, not a lot has changed still working hard, although my social life has been flourishing lately had a trip to leeds, and two art openings all in the space of three weeks and if i do say so myself i have been bringing my A-game outfits (well if A-game means well thought out) i finally had to chance to unveil my favourite purchase of recent months a pair of pattern sequins bithchin leggings from oasis..they were well received and were even photographed, although i do know him so don't know if that counts but he is like a proper photographer so it totally counts.i realise that i am not living up to my two names of boy daft and man made drama but things have been tame...well there has been drama but one that has gone on so long that i am bored bored bored and the second one is someone else's so i feel well bad documenting but all in good time. boy wise things have been tame, truth is i have liked the same boy for a while but we are a serious of intense conversations and nothing else well some fun days and little keep sakes...but maybe it is a good match because according to my friends i am super intense...i guess i am a little or maybe more. i have a poor history of boys but i'll talk you through that later but it doesn't put me off i still appreciate the beautiful ones so on that note i'll leave you with another picture of douglas booth and the other Burberry boys.

"dear prudence won't you come out to play...the sun is up, the sky is blue. it's beautiful and so are you. dear prudence won't you come out play" (siouxsie and the banshees)
